SERVICE INFORMATION

Here is some more information about our Sunday services:

  • On the FIRST Sunday of the month we have a SUNG HOLY COMMUNION service with hymns led by our organist and choir, prayers and a sermon.

  • On the SECOND Sunday the service is SONGS OF PRAISE, which is a less formal service with hymns often  chosen by members of our congregation, led by the Choir and accompanied by the organ.

  • On the THIRD Sunday we have SUNG MORNING WORSHIP which is a more formal service with psalms, hymns, a sermon or reflection, prayers and a time of worship.

  • On the FOURTH Sunday the service is an ALL AGE SERVICE lead by our Children’s Leader, Lorna Taylor. This is an informal service suitable for families with younger children, and is usually around 45 minutes long.

  • When there is a FIFTH Sunday in the month, all three churches in the benefice - Crick, Lilbourne and Yelvertoft with Clay Coton, come together to share one service which also starts at 11.15am.  The service is followed by lunch which everyone is welcome to share.  To find out which church is hosting the service please go to the 'What's on?' page and check for upcoming events.

At every service, the choir leads the singing, accompanied by the organ. The clergy and members of the choir are normally robed. Members of the congregation contribute by reading from the scripture and leading the Prayers.
